Business Member of the Year:
ACTUM Group - Scott Seibert
The Nominating Committee for this award unanimously voted that Scott
Seibert with the ACTUM Group is the Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce's 2007
Business Member of the Year. Over the past year, Scott has taken on chairmanship
of the Membership Development Committee with a passion. He has gathered a
committee of several Chamber Members, one of whom wasn't even a member when he
joined the committee! Scott's Membership Development committee meets on a
regular basis, and has developed a plan for growing the Chamber. Under Scott's
leadership, his committee is calling on businesses to invite them to become
members of the chamber and they are also calling on existing chamber members to
ask them to refer their business colleagues as members. Scott spends a lot of
his time helping the Chamber in this initiative and we believe that he is very
deserving of this award. Please join me in congratulating Scott Seibert with the
ACTUM Group as our 2007 Business Member of the Year. |

Member of the Year:
David Ring, Indiana Funeral Care
In trying to decide who to select for the Chamber's 2007 Board Member
of the Year, one person stood out as being the one. David Ring with Indiana
Funeral Care has been hugely responsible for bringing in several members to the
Chamber. He invites them to Chamber events and highly recommends membership to
them. As a result, they join. David also upgraded his basic membership to a
Corporate Gold Partnership AND he obtained a separate chamber membership for his
other business, the Putnam Ring Group. David sponsored the Chamber's Clergy
Meeting last May, and he plans to sponsor a Holiday Seminar in November. David
has been invaluable to the Chamber in his monetary support, but more
importantly, in his guidance. David is very deserving of this award. Please join
me in congratulating David Ring as our 2007 Board Member of the Year. |
